Hunters Point is one of the most “apartment-crazed” neighborhoods in the United States, according to a newly-released study

A study by rentCafe shows that the construction of more than 5,000 new apartment units in the past couple of years has occurred in the Hunters Point neighborhood.

From 2010-2020, the area has seen over 22,000 new residents. The top three areas for new apartment construction were concentrated in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Midtown Atlanta.

Most of the fast-growing neighborhoods were concentrated in areas with high concentrations of young professionals, according to the study.
